# How to set up Hiya Spam Blocker for iPhone

Step-by-step guide to install and configure the Hiya Spam Blocker app for iPhone

## Install Spam Blocker

1.  Download the Hiya Spam Blocker app from the Apple [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hiya-spam-blocker/id986999874)
    
2.  Open the app and follow the on-screen setup instructions
    
3.  Enable all requested permissions
    
4.  Allow access to your contacts – this ensures that calls from your saved contacts will ring through
    

_Note: Access to your contacts is necessary for Hiya Spam Blocker to properly handle your calls. Hiya does not use or share contact information for any other purpose._

## Enable call blocking

1.  Open **Settings** on your iPhone
    
2.  Scroll down and tap **Phone**
    
3.  Tap **Call Blocking & Identification**
    
4.  Enable all **Hiya** toggles (there should be three)
    

**Note:** If the toggles don’t appear right away, this is a known issue with the iOS system. Wait about an hour and check again — it can take up to 24 hours in rare cases.

## Optional: Enable Call Screener (Premium)

If you have a Premium subscription, tap **Settings → Activate Call Screener** for enhanced protection including voicemail screening and real-time caller identification.
