## Install Hiya Spam Blocker

1. Go to the **"Hiya: Spam Blocker"** page in the [Google Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webascender.callerid) and tap **Install**

2. Open the app follow the on-screen instructions

## Set Hiya as your default phone app

To block and identify calls, Hiya Spam Blocker needs to be your default phone app:

1. When prompted, tap **Set Default Phone App** (or go to **Settings → Apps → Default apps → Phone app → Hiya**)

2. To show Caller ID over other screens, allow **"Draw over other apps"** when prompted

## Set up blocking

1. Tap the **Blocking** tab at the bottom

2. Tap **Block List** and use the **+** button to add numbers

3. Turn on **automatic spam & nuisance blocking** (Premium): open the **Premium** tab and enable **Spam Blocking**

_On older versions of the app, blocking options can be found via_ **_Settings → Call Settings_**_._

## Allow your contacts

Go to **Settings → Call Settings** and make sure **"Calls from saved contacts"** is set to **Do nothing** so your contacts always ring through.

**_Note:_** _Hiya only uses your phone's contact list to appropriately handle calls. We do not use or share contact information for any other purpose._
